A series of contemporary artwork pieces celebrating the British Coast and Countryside in a style reminiscent of the 1930's Travel Posters. These eyecatching pictures have been described as 'calming and very British'.

The pared down landscapes of Ian Mitchell follow a landscape tradition of representation, and are evocative of the early 20th Century travel posters.

Ian's style is all about reduction and subtraction, less can be more in his attempt to create an abstracted minimalist landscape, which is still true to the original.
